Purpose of Position:

Field Engineers are required to be customer-focused, excellent problem solver and innovative. In this role you’ll be working with our customers, sales teams, contractors and designers to drive the sales of engineering products.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Communicate with clients to determine needs and explain complex issues
  • Conduct research and studies on site
  • Manage field activities and implement engineering designs
  • Diagnose problems and suggest best solutions to overcome them.
  • Resolve malfunctions or other crises when they arise
  • Oversee repairs and technical improvements
  • Install new systems and technology
  • Inspect and test material and machinery for safety
  • Ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipment
  • Draft and submit reports

Person Specification:

  • An agile approach to solving problems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn and drive to succeed
  • Knowledge of Uzbek, Russian and English
  • Attention to detail.

10 things to be Good at:

  1. Understand your trade, specifiers and project types. Know your relevant contact persons and their needs. Apply decision making as per line and playbooks.
  2. Master the applications in your trade.
  3. Build competence through relevant products and services with the corresponding playbooks.
  4. Be aware of the competition landscape and the possible impact on Hilti.
  5. Effectively plan your day/week by focusing on call quality and cross specifying. Prioritize "return on time invested". Prepare documents/specs with argumentations for the right contact person. Take corrective actions if sales growth of technical products are not in line with targets.
  6. Use SSS to drive sales of technical products and identify customer needs and opportunities. Close deals and get specified.
  7. Present and demo with value proposition of Hilti solutions.
  8. Create competitive specifications in value and quality. Convert specs together with sales.
  9. Drive cross functional collaboration with sales on top customer level and big projects. Feed information to technical marketing. Engage in the workflow with ECC/PMO.
  10. Ensure data quality in our CRM system to enable MCS and digital marketing. Identify opportunities within your specifier platform, construction services and software solutions. Execute visits to specifiers and joint rides with AM.
