Head of Core System Developments - CFT

Responsible for steering the developments of implementation of new core banking solution, managing a team of skilled system engineers, developers, system administrators and testers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end to end development lifecycle of the new CFT core banking system from requirement analysis and architecture design to implementation, testing and deployment.
• Oversee the system integration process, ensuring smooth interoperability with existing banking systems, data migration and third party services and APIs.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects without compromising on quality and user experience.
• Ensure adherence to the highest standards of security and compliance during system development and integration.
• Proactively identify potential system vulnerabilities and drive solutions.
• Engage regularly with key stakeholders to understand evolving business requirements.
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation for system software applications.
• Monitor system performance and take necessary actions to ensure optimal operation.
• Mentor and guide team members, ensuring their continuous professional development.
• Establish best practices and standards for software development within the team.
• Manage resource allocation, including budgeting for system development projects.
• Drive innovation within the team, encouraging the exploration of new tools and technologies.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, standards, and best practices in the banking and tech industries.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Ensure robust disaster recovery and backup protocols for core systems.
• Foster strong relationships with external vendors and service providers.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. PhD is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in system development with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Deep understanding of system architecture, cloud computing, and emerging technologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling systems in a high-growth environment.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
