Site Engineer (Civil)

Job Purpose/Objective:

• To monitor execution of all types of Civil work by subcontractor’s team, with quality & safety, within schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor & Control execution of Civil work by sub-contractor’s team.
• Supervise workmen for civil processes involved in:
  -execution of foundation (for tower, equipment etc.) as per approved drawing.
  -layout marking as per the approved drawing
  -preparation of Bar Bending Schedule as per approved drawing
  -setting of template & fixing of foundation bolt
• Check foundation (with CE, on record) before & after pouring of Concrete.
• Coordinate with client’s site representative & subcontractor’s site representative during execution.
• Ensure motivation of workmen at site.
• Lead teams of culturally diverse teams of workmen.

Education:

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering

Experience:

• Prior experience in power transmission projects with experience in various functions associated with an Integrated Solar Power Projects including BESS Projects/ Substation Projects/TL Projects (as relevant)
• Prior experience of working in CIS countries preferable.
• Language: English: Proficient
• Russian: Preferred
• Uzbek: Preferred

Schedule

• Provide inputs to planning engineer as required for project schedule preparation.
• Prepare detailed schedule for foundation work based on project schedule and update it periodically.
• Handle all planning and co-ordination involving subcontractor’s team and other departments like EHS and Quality to ensure that schedule is adhered to.

Cost

• Work with construction manager to estimate material requirement and inform subcontractor appropriately.
• Reconcile statement of material consumption as per estimate.
• Ensure project progresses as per schedule with respect to civil work to ensure that man-hours don’t exceed budget.
• Provide support for invoicing and revenue control.
• Provide inputs regarding contract variations to the CM/PM and tendering department.\

Quality

• Work with client for all validation and acceptance and record it.
• Co-ordinate with Quality department towards Quality assurance for all civil activities through Pre-checks (Internal Audit) and post checks.

Safety

• Ensure that all safety precautions are taken during execution.
• Ensure that all workmen wear PPE.

Reports

• Report on daily work progress & availability of construction materials to Construction Manager
• Provide feedback for weekly progress review meeting with Subcontractor.
• Attain monthly progress review meeting with Sub contractor.
