DWH Architect

As a Data Warehouse Architect, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing a robust, scalable data warehouse architecture that supports our ambitious goals. Your expertise will guide the development of a data ecosystem that is efficient, secure, and capable of handling the complex data needs of our global initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of the data warehouse architecture, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and technology standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify data needs and integrate data from diverse sources into a cohesive and accessible data environment.
• Design and document comprehensive data warehouse architecture, including dimensional data models, ETL processes, data flows, and integration points with other systems.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools and technologies for data storage, processing, and analytics, considering factors such as scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Design and optimize data warehouse schemas, indexing strategies, and partitioning schemes to support efficient data retrieval and analytics.
• Work closely with database administrators and infrastructure teams to optimize the performance and scalability of the data warehouse infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, data scientists, and software engineers, to gather and analyze requirements for the data warehouse.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data warehousing, analytics, and cloud computing, and make recommendations for future enhancements to the data warehouse architecture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience in data warehousing, with a focus on architecting and designing data warehouse solutions.
• Proficiency in data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling, star schemas, and snowflake schemas.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and hands-on experience with Microsoft ETL tools
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering successful data warehouse projects on time and within budget.
