HVAC Design Engineer

Juru is looking for an HVAC Design Engineer to join our Energy and Infrastructure Engineering practice in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. In this role, you will be supporting the team on a wide range of high-profile energy and infrastructure projects across the Central Asia region.

Key responsibilities:

• Design HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, including load calculations, equipment selection, and system layout;
• Develop HVAC system concepts and solutions based on client requirements, building codes, and industry standards (i.e, KMK, ShNK, SNIP, ASHRAE, NFPA);
• Create detailed HVAC drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using computer-aided design (CAD, Revit and other) software;
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HVAC systems into building designs;
• Review/Adapt and approve HVAC designs created by other engineers, consultants or international engineering companies as per international norms and codes;
• Perform technical calculations and analyses to ensure HVAC system performance and efficiency;
• Select and specify HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and ductwork;
• Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning of HVAC systems;
• Conduct field surveys and assessments to collect data for HVAC system design and evaluation;
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, codes, and standards related to HVAC design and energy efficiency;
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks, if required.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field;
• 2-5 years of engineering experience with HVAC design software and tools;
• Good command of English and Russian, both written and verbal;
• Good communication, analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills;
• Approachable, a good listener, well organized, diligent, self-motivated, and career-oriented;
• Ability to work in a team-oriented workspace and adapt to the new fast-growing dynamic environment;
• Strong agility and interest in learning new skills and tools;
• Good user of Microsoft Office packages, Google Workspace, particularly MS Excel and Google Sheets;
• Ability to withstand high pressure and deliver results.
