Database Administrator

Responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and performance of bank’s databases, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to support system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and maintain data integrity. Develop and implement data management policies and procedures.

Your tasks in the team:

• Manage and optimize the replication, clustering, performance, availability, and security of databases supporting banking systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and users.
• Databases troubleshooting, administration and optimization.
• Design, implement, and maintain database configurations, schemas, and version controls.
• Manage user access and permissions to databases.
• Implement and monitor data security measures, access controls, encryption, and audits to safeguard sensitive financial and customer data.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection laws in the banking sector.
• Develop and maintain database backup and recovery plans to ensure data continuity and minimize downtime in case of failures.
• Installation, configuration, migration, upgrade and security patching
• Monitor database performance, identifying and resolve bottlenecks and issues.
• Create and maintain database documentation, including schemas, procedures, and configurations. Keep records of database changes, security measures, incidents and maintenance activities.
• Generate reports on database performance, incidents, backups, and recovery status.

You are the ideal candidate, if you have:

• Good knowledge in the Linux and Windows server systems
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good command of English

• Proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
• Experience with database administration tools, monitoring, and backup/recovery solutions.
• Knowledge of data security regulations, compliance standards, and data protection laws.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
