• Monitor the ICT infrastructure mainly covering telecom equipment, systems, cloud service, network links, and applications
• Use monitoring tools and techniques to its maximum potential
• Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and escalate as necessary
• Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues that may require cross-functional expertise from second layer of defense
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software upgrades and security patching, after working hours
• Provide proactive recommendations to improve infrastructure performance and scalability, reliability, and security
• Document all activities (especially solution to incidents/problems) and procedures in the knowledge base to ensure knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
• Define and document best practices and support procedures; Train users in the proper use of hardware and software. Interact with vendors and team members at the technical level, as required
• Implement and enforce ICT and cyber security policies and procedures and ensure compliance with security standards, especially the ones related to service desk management
• Research and recommend current and future technology resources, purchases, and services to meet the organization’s needs as requested. Assist in analyzing design and network models as needed. Participate on committees/task forces as requested
• Participate in an afterhours rotating call schedule and work flexible on need basis
• Must adhere to safety protocols at all times
• Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions to improve network performance, efficiency, and with a focus on secure communication and encryption
• Collaborate with IT professionals to implement network infrastructure changes and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams. Configuration backup and
operational instructions
• Provide direct and technical leadership to network team and act as an escalation point for implementations performed by the team
• Continuously improve delivery quality and efficiency through automation and support initiatives in standardization across projects and automation
• Review with each team member on their performance, regular mentoring & coaching team members, follow-up on competence development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent experience. Master Degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in network operation and support (or related field)
• Professional experience with network protocols, technologies, and tools, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, SolarWinds, Splunk, SIEM, Kiwi, Cisco Prime, etc.
• Mastering the use of scripting languages, such as Python or PowerShell, for automation and troubleshooting
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, ITIL, or any other certification related to
ISO/IEC20000 is required
