Senior Data Engineer

• Designing the architecture of a data platform;

• Analyze, combine and organize raw data for extraction;

• Build data systems and pipelines for data transition and storage;

• Build and maintain scalable and robust data infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, stability and data quality;

• Transform raw data by cleaning, structuring, and formatting the data sets to make data consumable for processing or analysis;

• Experience with ETL Tools;

• Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling;

• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability;

• Identify opportunities for data acquisition;

• Evaluate business needs and objectives;

• Undertaking data collection, preprocessing and analysis;

• Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data;

• Build of Data dictionary and build data catalogs;

• Document all activities and procedures in the knowledge base to ensure knowledge sharing and continuous improvement;

• Assure compliance with data governance and data privacy policies and best practices to ensure compliance with data security standards;

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide technical guidance and support in data-related initiatives;

• Research and recommend current and future technology resources, purchases, and services to meet the organization’s needs as requested. Assist in analyzing architecture and data models as needed. Participate on committees’/task forces as requested;

• Must adhere to safety protocols at all times.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Data engineering;
• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques;
• Experience with ETL Tools;
• Experience with SQL database design;
• Familiar with scripting and programing languages, such as Python;
• Experience with Oracle datawarehouse;
• Experience with Orchestration technologies such as airflow;
• Experience with Qliksense to build data models and data architecture and data load jobs;
• Data engineering certification is a plus;
