Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the network is always secure, and that pupils and staff have access only to appropriate areas of the network;
- Ensure that all school systems support the safeguarding and online safety policies.
- Install hardware (including printers) and software for teaching and learning purposes as agreed with the Business Manager, within both the Primary and Secondary sections;
- Liaise closely with teaching staff who have responsibility for teaching ICT in all its forms and ensure that he or she is adequately supported in delivering ICT in the school environment;
- Install hardware and software for administration and all other school purposes;
- Ensure that inventories of hardware and software are maintained that the school has licenses for all software in use at any time and maintain documentary proof of this;
- Assist the ICT team with planning training for staff and, when requested, deliver some of this training;
- To ensure the WIST Website is operational and to undertake additional training as and when it is necessary;
- Participate in meetings with Information Systems Managers and/or Heads of IT from other schools, representing the needs of WIST;
- Produce documentation for all procedures carried out by the ICT Support staff;
- Be familiar with and implement any procedures as set out in ICT policies and ensure that the best practices of system administration are established and always followed;
- Line manage the ICT Support staff and hold weekly meetings;
- Attend staff briefings/meetings as required;
- Attend ICT working group meetings;
- Ability to manage enterprise level network infrastructure;
- Ability to prioritize support tasks effectively;
- Experience of using a wide range of ICT hardware and software;
- Ability to research solution to technical problems in a timely and efficient manner
- 5 working day week from 8:00 till 17:00
