Job Description:
The International School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Biology within the framework of the British curriculum, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment that inspires students to explore the wonders of life sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans in alignment with the British curriculum standards.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Implement formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Foster critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and analytical skills through hands-on laboratory activities and interactive discussions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and cross-curricular projects.
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success and well-being.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Education.
- Teaching certification or qualification recognized for teaching Biology in a British curriculum setting.
- Previous experience teaching Biology at the secondary level, preferably in an international school context.
- Strong knowledge of the British curriculum standards and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to professional growth and ongoing learning.
