The Head of Change Request and Demand Management will serve as the primary contact point between the business units and the IT department. This role is responsible for capturing, assessing, and prioritizing all incoming business requests for new initiatives, enhancements, and technological solutions. By closely aligning business needs with IT capabilities and strategic objectives, this role ensures that only well-structured, high-value demands progress through the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Demand Intake and Assessment:

Collect and document all requests and needs originating from various business units.

Conduct initial feasibility assessments, clarify requirements, and ensure alignment with the bank’s technology strategy and architectural guidelines.

- Prioritization and Alignment:

Evaluate incoming demands based on factors such as business impact, regulatory requirements, cost, complexity, and resource availability.

Collaborate with IT architects, project managers, and relevant stakeholders to validate technical viability and fit within the existing IT landscape.

- Pipeline Management:

Maintain a centralized demand pipeline, ensuring transparency and accuracy of demand status, resource allocation, and implementation timelines.

Work closely with IT governance committees to refine prioritization frameworks and provide recommendations on which requests move forward.

- Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as a single point of contact for business units, providing regular updates on demand status, decisions, and expected outcomes.

Facilitate cross-functional workshops and discussions to resolve conflicts, clarify expectations, and build consensus around project selection.

- Continuous Improvement:

Identify trends in demand patterns, surface common pain points, and recommend process improvements to streamline demand management.

Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the demand management process, ensuring continuous enhancement of stakeholder satisfaction and resource utilization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in IT demand management, business analysis, or related roles within the financial sector.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, architecture principles, and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
