Senior Fire Fighting & Water Supply and Sewage Engineer

Juru is looking for a motivated and proactive Senior Fire Fighting & Water Supply and Sewage (WSS) Engineer to join our Energy and Infrastructure Engineering practice in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. In this role you will be supporting the team on a wide range of project development and implementation assignments in Uzbekistan and across the Central Asia & Caucasus region.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing the design documentation for WSS systems for industrial facilities in accordance with applicable regulations (KMK, ShNK, SNiP, RD, RH and etc.), among which, but not limited to:
  • Potable or non-potable water distribution and firefighting systems;
  • Pumping stations;
  • Water storage facilities;
  • Wastewater / Sludge treatment plants;
  • Flood damage prevention structures.
• Overseeing project documentation approval in relevant local authorities;
• (On demand short term) Site Design Supervision as SME;
• (Owner’s) Engineering Supervision as SME, excluding long-term site visits;

Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
• At least 5 years of experience in designing and engineering water supply, sewerage and firefighting systems;
• Experience managing design projects, including coordinating with multidisciplinary teams;
• Deep understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA, KMK, SHNK, GOST);
• Proficient in design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D and PIPENET;

• Hydraulic Calculations: Ability to perform hydraulic calculations and analyses for water supply, sewerage, and firefighting systems.

• System Design: Expertise in designing potable water systems, wastewater systems, stormwater management, and fire protection systems.

• Sustainability Practices: Knowledge of sustainable design practices and technologies, such as water conservation methods and green infrastructure
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking to identify issues and develop effective solutions;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and team members, as well as for preparing reports and presentations;
• Meticulous attention to details to ensure design work's accuracy and quality;
• Strong leadership skills to mentor junior engineers, manage project teams, and oversee project execution;
• Good command of Uzbek/Russian and English skills, verbal and written;
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
