Procurement Specialist, Fergana

We are looking for a Procurement, Sourcing & Logistics Specialist (to be based in Fergana (with frequent business trips to Navoiy), Uzbekistan.

As our Procurement, Sourcing & Logistics Specialist , you will

• Deliver cost savings and minimise risk, enhance buyer/seller relationships and vendor performance, work on contracts, measure supply efficiency and effectiveness, do supplier audits, work on continuous improvement, work on supplier quality management, develop local supplier support for spare parts replenishment, refurbishment and supply of consumables.
• You will be involved in

Buying

• Process and execute requisitions for purchase goods and services.
• Selecting suppliers as per Procurement procedures (including governmental requirements for state owned companies).
• Commercial negotiations with vendors.
• Managing, developing, and negotiating contracts/orders/terms and conditions for operational spend and services to secure best value for the Company in its sourcing decisions in a timely manner.
• Active participation in the savings planning, review, and execution.
• Converging and Compliance with global/regional contracts and supply agreements.
• Maintaining supplier excellence by measurement of supplier performance, maintaining records on key suppliers, materials, and services.
• Provide front line support to plant emergency, plant turnarounds, and plant down time situations

Purchasing administration

• Prepare all locally required documentation related to procurement/finance process.
• Expedite delivery time of spare parts, other goods if agreed upfront.
• Liaise with shipping agents and plant personnel to ensure smooth import of materials.
• Assist Accounts Payable with invoice queries.
• PR and PO recoding.
• Procurement paper management and archiving.
• Providing, managing, and maintaining accurate Procurement vendor and contract data base (maintaining and updating ledge files).
• Creating contracts for spare parts (in SAP), to be able to automate replenishment

Material Control

• Assist with plant inventory spreadsheets to ensure accurate safety stock levels
• Assist with the creation of new parts (hardgoods) Material Master configuration
• Assist with Stores/Warehouse Set Ups for plants

As Procurement, Sourcing & Logistics Specialist you already are or have

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Economics/Logistics/Engineering.
• A minimum of 6 years total relevant professional experience is required.
• Special knowledge in field of relevant Uzbekistan legalization and requirements in field of governmental purchasing.
• The knowledge of logistics, importation process and customs clearance process.
• Well versed with Uzbekistan contracting structure.
• Detailed knowledge of commercial purchasing procedures and practice, including aspects of negotiation and contract laws applicable to different kind of purchases.
• Familiar with operating within SAP environment (would be very beneficial).
• Knowledge of foreign economic activities.
• Accurate and multitasking.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office.
• Good business communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Team player.
• High ethical conduct.
• Ability to work with big number of documents.
• Fluency in English and Russian/Uzbek is required
