Biology Teacher – Pre-Foundation Program

CENTRAL ASIAN UNIVERSITY is seeking a dedicated and passionate Biology Teacher to join our team and deliver high-quality education to high school students. The ideal candidate will inspire and prepare students for exams and future educational pursuits while fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Before Teaching:

• Develop a comprehensive set of materials for the 12-week Biology module, including:

• Syllabus and teaching schedule

• Lesson plans and educational materials

• Reading assignments and homework tasks

• Formative and summative assessments

• Ensure all vocabulary lists are available in English, Russian, and Uzbek.

During Teaching:

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance.

• Deliver lessons according to the developed syllabus and teaching materials.

• Participate in team meetings and complete administrative tasks related to the module.

• Administer and grade assessments.

• Provide constructive feedback to students and incorporate their feedback for continuous improvement.

After Teaching:

• Present students’ assessment results.

• Write a reflective report on the module delivery to enhance future teaching practices.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Biology, Medicine, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Prior teaching experience in Biology is preferred.

• Experience in curriculum development and educational program management is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with the educational standards of pre-university programs.

• Experience working in or with institutions in Central Asia is an asset.

• Strong subject knowledge in Biology.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.

• Proficiency in using digital tools such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Microsoft Teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Uzbek, Russian, and English.
