IT Infrastructure Project Support Technician, Fergana

We are looking for IT Infrastructure Project Support Technician (Contractor for 6 months, with the opportunity of prolongation) based in Fergana, Uzbekistan.

You will report to the Manager, DT EU/IN Infrastructure Operations and you will facilitate installation and support of the Air Products digital technology environment at the Air Products owned and operated units, located on the Fergana Oil Refinery. You will be based in Fergana, Uzbekistan. This contract will be fixed term for 6 months, with the opportunity of prolonging. As our IT Infrastructure Project Support Technician (Contractor), you will

• Provide technical assistance at site to support a major integration project. Supporting our regional network, collaboration and technical support teams. Includes installation and testing of equipment. PROJECT WORK.
• Ensure IT Standards (including Safety) for IT computer room(s) are followed.
• Be the contact to interface with vendors and suppliers locally, working with our procurement teams. E.g. for enquiring about product availability, cost, expected delivery dates etc.
• Provide assistance to regional DIS teams for incident resolution (reactive change).
• Provide assistance to regional DIS teams for requests/deployments (proactive change).
• Distribute Air Products standard PCs locally following documented process (includes initial onboarding to new employees).
• Provide technical assistance at site to support the existing DT infrastructure environment. Supporting our regional network, collaboration and technical support teams. Includes installation and testing of equipment. SUPPORT WORK

As the IT Infrastructure Project Support Technician (Contractor), you already are or have

• Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science. Specialized training, certification, or equivalent work experience
• Proven work experience in desktop support or other IT infrastructure areas.
• A good knowledge of PC clients required, including:
• Knowledge of other IT infrastructure tools and services such as networks, servers, security and voice)
• Operating Systems (Microsoft) Windows 7 / Windows 10 / Windows 11
• Network Connectivity (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN & Wireless)
• Remote Connectivity SSL/VPN
• Printing – print environment setup, troubleshooting
• MS Office Products, including Office/O365
• Cyber Security awareness an advantage
• A good knowledge of networking devices (routers/switches) preferably Cisco.

• Familiarity with Industrial Control System (ICS)
• Fluent English, Uzbek, Russian would be benefficial
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with all levels of people in the organization.
