Project HSE Manager

UET Construction, a leading Uzbek construction company, is seeking a diligent HSE Manager to our new project in Samarkand to join our dynamic team. Top candidates will also have an amiable personality and an aptitude for customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific HSE management plans in compliance with contractual requirements.
2. Lead the HSE team in identifying and mitigating workplace hazards.
3. Develop and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Method Statements.
4. Ensure HSE training and competency programs are effectively delivered to all project personnel.
5. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with HSE policies and regulations.
6. Report HSE performance metrics and incidents to the HSE Head and project stakeholders.
7. Coordinate emergency preparedness and response plans across the project site.
8. Manage the implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems to control high-risk activities.
9. Ensure adhere to project HSE requirements and conduct regular evaluations.
10. Facilitate HSE meetings, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
11. Serve as the point of contact for external regulatory inspections and client HSE representatives.

    -Develop and implement proactive safety measures, training and policies to prevent accidents, injuries in the workplace

    -Leads and participates in HSE Inspections and audits

    -Support the project change management process and evaluate risk associated

• Technical degree
• NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and/or nationally recognized certification
• ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
• Train the Trainer
• Lifting certification
• Scaffolding certification
• Valid Basic Life Support certificate

• Strong English/Uzbek language knowledge (Russian and Turkish -nice to have)

  Must be able to read and understand English and local language technical and non-technical information for use everyday decision-making processes.
