Head of the Department of Data Analytics

PDP University is a progressive, innovation-driven educational institution based in Tashkent. We are seeking a qualified academic leader for the position of Head of the Department of Data Analytics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing academic programs, fostering research activities, and overseeing the administrative management of the department, ensuring alignment with current labor market demands and academic advancements in the field of Data Analytics.

• Academic and Strategic Leadership

• Defining the strategic directions for the development of the Department of Data Analytics and its role within the university.

• Analyzing industry and technological trends to update and enhance academic programs.

• Promoting innovative teaching methods and fostering analytical thinking.

• Curriculum Development and Market Alignment

• Designing and updating academic programs in data analytics, machine learning, statistics, and big data.

• Establishing partnerships with analytics and consulting firms, banks, telecoms, and IT companies to ensure practical relevance in education.

• Supporting accreditation processes and compliance with national and international educational standards.

• Faculty Management and Recruitment

• Recruiting, mentoring, and coordinating the work of faculty and researchers within the department.

• Conducting regular performance evaluations and supporting the professional development of staff.

• Ensuring faculty adherence to academic deadlines, including timely grading and publication of learning materials.

• Student Success and Employability Support

• Conducting regular student satisfaction surveys and implementing improvements in the educational process.

• Enhancing graduate employability through internships, career events, and partnerships with industry.

• Providing academic support and motivation to students throughout their learning journey.

• Digital Platforms and Tools

• Implementing and managing digital platforms (LMS, Bitrix24, BTEC, and others) to ensure effective educational process management.

• Supporting faculty in adapting and using digital learning and data analytics tools.

• Scientific Research and Innovation

• Encouraging scientific activity in data analytics, including publications, hackathons, and research projects.

• Developing collaborations with national and international organizations, analytical centers, and startups.

• Quality Control and Compliance

• Ensuring high standards of teaching and educational outcomes.

• Preparing for accreditations, internal program audits, and implementing continuous improvement systems.

• Master’s degree (MA) or PhD in Data Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional or academic experience, including at least 2 years in a management position.

• Experience in developing and implementing academic programs in data analytics, machine learning, or statistics.

• A portfolio of scientific publications or practical projects is an advantage.

• Proficiency in LMS, Bitrix24, BTEC, and other digital tools.

• Languages: Fluency in Uzbek and English is mandatory; knowledge of Russian is an advantage.
