IT project manager

The scope of the services required from IT Project Manager will include:

1. Lead and manage the full lifecycle of IT projects within the DHMU, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
2. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

1. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders and project teams.
2. Ensure all project objectives align with both immediate operational goals and long-term strategic plans.
3. Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, budget management, risk assessment, and communication strategies.

1. Assemble and manage high-performing project teams, assigning roles and responsibilities.
2. Ensure team members are adequately trained and have access to the resources they need.
3. Foster team development through continuous feedback, coaching, and mentoring to ensure productivity and cohesion.

1. Monitor project progress and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
2. Use project management tools to track progress in real time and generate performance reports.
3. Adjust plans and strategies as needed based on KPI analysis to meet project goals.

1. Effectively manage project risks by implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
2. Perform regular risk assessments to identify new risks and review existing ones.
3. Ensure risk management is embedded throughout the project, involving team members in risk identification and mitigation efforts.

1. Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.
2. Regularly track project expenses, comparing them against the planned budget to prevent overspending.
3. Propose budget reallocations or savings when necessary, to accommodate any unforeseen circumstances without compromising project quality.

1. Communicate project status, updates, and challenges to stakeholders regularly.
2. Tailor communication to suit the audience, ensuring technical details are understood by non-technical stakeholders.
3. Establish clear escalation procedures for resolving project challenges or conflicts with stakeholders.

1. Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
2. Ensure cross-functional team alignment to reduce silos and enhance project efficiency.

1. Ensure that IT projects align with the DHMU's overall strategic goals.
2. Regularly evaluate project goals to ensure they contribute to the organization's broader mission and objectives.
3. Propose adjustments to project objectives if there are changes in strategic direction from DHMU leadership.

1. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and implement improvements for future projects.
2. Create detailed post-mortem reports, analyzing both successes and challenges encountered.
3. Implement continuous improvement strategies based on lessons learned, incorporating them into future project management practices.
