Join ACWA Power for Beruniy Project - Exciting Opportunities in Project Site, Karakalpakstan Republic, Uzbekistan
The Beruniy 200 MW Wind Farm + 200MWh BESS + 220kV 44 km OHTL project is a greenfield Independent Power Project IPP that is developed by ACWA Power in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Republic of Uzbekistan. The project is based on PPP law and publicly tendered wind project.
ACWA Power and the JSC National Electrical Grid of Uzbekistan signed a 25-year Public-Private Partnership Agreement (PPPA) for the development/construction/operation/maintenance of a 200 MW onshore wind power plant including 100MWh battery energy storage system (“BESS”) and 44 km 220kv with double circuit single tower OHTL. JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan acts as the sole off-taker.
The project will be located in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and will be developed as a ‘Build, Own, Operate, Transfer’ project. ACWA Power will take the lead in the construction, engineering, operation and maintenance of the plant.
