Product Owner

About Us:
Ta’lim Portali MCHJ is a fast-growing EdTech company building the digital infrastructure for higher education in Uzbekistan. We’re behind several impactful products:
Mentalaba.uz – a student-facing platform that connects applicants with private and international universities in Uzbekistan.
Admission CRM – a system that helps universities manage and automate their student admissions process.
Iapply.org – an international platform to streamline university applications across Central Asia and beyond.
We’re now looking for a Product Owner who can take ownership of our product direction and work hands-on with the development team to deliver features that matter.

What You’ll Do:

-Work closely and daily with developers — your core responsibility is to ensure that technical teams have clear, structured, and comprehensive tasks aligned with Agile/Scrum
-Own and manage the product backlog: write detailed user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prioritize work based on value
-Translate business requirements into developer-ready tickets and epics
-Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups
-Collaborate with design, marketing to ensure smooth delivery
-Define product KPIs and track outcomes
-Conduct research, gather user feedback, and identify opportunities for growth

What We’re Looking For:

-At least 2 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager
-Hands-on experience working directly with development teams using Agile/Scrum
-Strong technical understanding and ability to break down features into developer-friendly tasks
-Ability to write clear and detailed user stories and documentation
-Familiarity with tools like Jira, Notion, Trello, Google Analytics
-Excellent communication skills
-English level B1 or above (Russian or Uzbek is a plus)
