Detailed Job Description
The Embassy of Pakistan, Tashkent is looking for a Social Secretary cum Translator for the Ambassador. The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the Ambassador’s office. Some important duties are as follows but not limited to that:
Extending /receiving invitations on behalf of the Ambassador.
Answering/making phone calls on behalf of the Ambassador.
Receiving and seeing-off guests of the Ambassador
Translation from Russian/Uzbek to English and vice versa.
Provide basic administrative support to the Ambassador’s Office including assistance as requested with correspondence, filing, travel arrangements and all appointments.
Create and maintain up to date database for Ambassador’s senior level contacts across different areas.
Work as a team member with other Embassy staff to assist in arranging different events.
Preparation of invitations, RSVPs, guest lists, table cards, and table plans in advance of events at the Embassy, Ambassador’s Residence and at the restaurants.
Arranging tea/coffee for the Ambassador and guests.
Coordinate and organize Ambassador’s calendar
Any other duty assigned.
Gender: Male/Female
Age: From 20-35 years
Probation: Three months
Educational requirements: Minimum 14-16 years education from a recognized University/Institute of a repute.
Experience: Individual with some working experience as Social/Executive/Private Secretary to Ambassadors/CEOs will be preferred.
Language skills:
Fluency in English, Uzbek and Russian (R.W.S)
Fluency in any other UN official languages will be an asset
Computer/Management skills:
Expert computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
Experience in office administration and events management.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
