Pharmaceutical Technical University (PTU) is established according to a Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022 and located in ‘Tashkent Pharma Park’ Innovative Research-Industrial Cluster.

The University operates in partnership with the University of Sunderland and De Montfort University (UK) and or the joint delivery of its academic programmes in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business and Computing.

The official language of the University is English – all academic programmes are validated by British partners and taught in English, internal and external business correspondence with international partners is held in English.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role
• Design and implement a database in accordance with end users' information needs and views
• Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in an appropriate format and in a timely manner
• Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
• Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
• Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
• Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required

Qualification

• BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification
• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL

Experience

• Proven working experience as a Database development and administrator
• Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications
• Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
• Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools
• Familiarity with programming languages API
• At least 1year experience
• C#, .NET core, PostgresQL, MongoDB, DDD pattern, Dapper ORM, XUnit
