Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for our Corporate Finance Team.

In this position, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations, providing financial information to immediate supervisors by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports.

Responsibilities

• Collect and manage accounting documentation, check compliance with internal control requirements and legislation
• Register transactions in the accounting software in a timely and proper manner; ensure completeness and accuracy of data for creating correct and reliable tax and financial reports
• Coordinate the registration process of fixed assets; ensure acceptance/handover registration and valuation of fixed assets, as well as regular inventory of fixed assets
• Calculate depreciation and amortization of fixed assets
• Follow procedures for bank transactions; make timely payments in accordance with internal payment regulations; prepare documents on cash balance; control internal treasury reports
• Ensure timely payment to suppliers for accounts payable; track prepayments; write off overdue accounts payable and receivables; track accounts receivable as part of the operational Cashflow statement
• Check and process business trip reports
• Participate in the harmonization of accounting
• Ensure timely monthly and yearly closure of accounts
• Participate in the development of local policies, their implementation, and publication in the internal database
• Improve the accounting system (request for automation, testing, implementation)
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Accounting background (International accounting knowledge considered an advantage)
• 3+ years of working accounting experience
• Familiarity with 1C systems, MS Office (Excel proficiency required)
• Background in outsourcing or consulting companies is a plus
• Strong analytical skills, combined with the ability to work with complex datasets
• Understanding of ACCA or DipIFR standards is considered an advantage
• Proficiency in English at B1 level or above
