Responsibilities:
- Responsible for import and export declaration and customs clearance of the company's raw materials, consumables, and all equipment and tools involved in production
- Gain proficiency in using the customs declaration system and master the processes of reviewing, preparing, and declaring customs declaration documents (bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, etc.)
- Familiarity with Uzbekistan's customs operating system, customs laws and regulations, import and export policies, and trade control laws, as well as optimizing customs declaration processes to rationally plan and reduce compliance risks for goods taxes and duties;
- Possess strong data analysis skills (e.g. Excel function application) and logical analysis skills, and be able to handle abnormal situations (e.g. inspection and detention) during customs clearance;
- A customs broker qualification certificate (original certificate) or passing the customs broker qualification exam is desirable. Familiarity with customs HS codes, declaration elements, inspection and quarantine requirements is also a must.
- Good reading, writing and speaking skills in English and Russian, good knowledge of reading and writing foreign trade documents (e.g. CEFR-C1 (IELTS-C1) level or higher, required by some companies).
- 1-3 years of experience in import and export customs clearance, declaration, or related work is required.
- Port/terminal customs clearance positions require more than 1 year of relevant experience;
- Ability to respond quickly to customs clearance anomalies (e.g. inspections and cargo detentions) and resolve issues quickly.
- A college degree or higher in international trade, logistics management, logistics, customs, international economics and trade, etc. is preferred;
- Candidates with experience in automotive, auto parts, and other industries will be preferred.
